Hi I have a Nokia 5800 xpress, and I'm after deleting bookmarks I don't need of old web sites I used to visit. When I've clicked on options there's no option anywhere to delete. My instruction manual is no help, and I once did a google for this problem which I did find a solution but forgot to save that info for future help, and can't find it since. doh.gif

Can anyone help? cc_confused.gif

I found full userguide on Nokia website. Best check there.

Nokia Userguide Click on "Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Extended User Guide in English" (The 2nd one, NOT 1st one).

Then go to page 86. You find what you want on left bottom part of the page.

There is no sign of deleting option on my phone. I used to have it. As deleted in past. But it's gone. cc_confused.gif

Update failed last night, so going to have to try again another time. I shall remember to do it early in the day too. I have not updated my filmware for along time, and took ages. Longer than I thought, so left it to it's own devices in the early hours, to find later this morning it failed. ohmy.gif

Thanks for the help regarding this matter. Will let you know sometime next week if I succeeded smile.gif

It shouldn't take a long time as it's usually about 10 to 15 minutes for the phone to be updated with the latest firmware.

I've had another go. And it's still updating. Just over 25 mins since it's been on doing this. ..... sigh. I think I give up.

play_ball.gif Horahh!! Done it. Tried a different USB internet. T-mobile. And it downloaded in 10 mins, first time. smile.gif

Only thing is. Still cannot delete bookmarks I don't want on my phone. Will get round to looking at nokia discussion board. See if there is anything on there. Looks like I'm putting up with them in the meantime, and it could do with a spring clean as they say, as there is a lot I don't need smile.gif

I chatted with Dona this evening and had a look at her phone to see how it works.

If you go to the listng of bookmarks, you need to "mark" it and then press the rubbish bin icon.

Or go to Bookmark Manager and there is a "Delete" button on it. Have a look.

Yep. Got it sorted smile.gif But I have a new problem that has started tonight. Not the phone, but internet connections on my laptop. But I'll start a new thread for that, labelled PC or USB Modem problem sad.gif
