Excellent start for Lewis.
But don't get carried away.
Alonso will fight back.
You don't win the winners title for 2 years for nothing.
Alonso will show how good he is soon.
I hope I am wrong though.

Oh boy, Lewis Hamilton is something! All that talent, plus nerves of steel, plus this weekend we've seen that when push comes to shove, he can shove as hard as anyone. At the start of the season people were saying 'nice guys don't win' - well, I'm not saying he's not a nice guy, but he's certainly not too nice to do whatever it takes to win! He's going to be one of the greatest F1 drivers of all time, make no mistake about it.

I wish F1 official didn't interfere with Lewis and Alonso issue at Hungarian GP. This season just got more interested :-) Hopefully we see more of controversies with them at each other throats :-)

Think it was just media hype and Alonso should not have lost five places. I think one thing I am worried about, is that mr hamiliton is slowly disapearing up his own [Beep]. so much for the kid that had no money and just a dream. How instant fame can change a person.

17 million to buy Hamilton - Ferrari...
Very soon we will see Hamilton on Ferrari... Unless McLaren get rid of Alonso to avoid further conflicts..

We must not forget that Lewis is an inexperience F1 driver, it would be amazing if he won the championship. But my money is on Alonso for this season.

Well, Hamilton remains the driver's championship leader after today's FIA hearing, but McLaren have been fined $100m and thrown out of the constructors' championship.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport...one/6991147.stmI'm reserving judgment until I have seen the written reasons for the decision, due to be published tomorrow.
What do you think? Was the punishment too harsh, or too lenient? Is the 2007 Championship now tainted?

For first instance, I think it is very harsh punishment - why FIA asking for 51 millions pounds fine?, me thinks constructors banned is enough... Do FIA need the money for themselves?
It would be interested to know whats triggered this harsh punishment. Must be some spying going on....

I am glad Hamilton and Alonso have not lost their points. They did nothing wrong. This is one major punishment. Must be the biggest fine in sporting history. Or am I wrong?

I have never actually seen so much hatred towards a succesful British sports person. I was having a look around face book and there were actual pages dedicated towards there hatred of the chap. Hundreds of members on each of them.
I think a lot of it boils down to the general smugness, of someone who has had every seemingly possible advantage you can have in such a tight sport like formula 1. From the multi miliion pound backing from the age of ten, to debuting in F1s most dominant car, instead of doing the usual testing, starting with a small team etc.
The fact that he also insists on openley abusing fellow drivers through the media, one of which lent him all of his driving data when he first joined the team. It just smacks of a lack of class.
