I am actually a powerlifter, but going to take up athletics in a couple of weeks, interested in the shot putt, but looking at doing the hammer, javalin and discus...

Im taking up the Javelin, shot put, discus and hammer to see what im best at, does anyone here have any experience or take part?

Hi - I'm a runner, marathon specialist, although I have competed from 800m all the way to 100km. I am involved in athletics administration on a provincial level in South Africa, and am aiming for a place in the South African Deaf athletics team for Deaflympics 2009.

We NEED more deaf athletes!
