My hearing still remains worser after my hearing test today. I was upset all over again. I tried not to, as I was aiming not to get my hopes up and only smile if my results turned out better.

Obviously...deep inside somewhere, I was hoping.

I have new hearing aids that should help me a bit better than before, to accomodate my deafness. I have Siemens DP now. I used to have Siems Reflex M.

So I'm to see how I go with them. Give it a month or more, and if I feel no improvement, then go back and they will try me with different hearing aids.

I already have noticed as I left, because when I was just leaving The Street (name of hospital bit I was at in Kings Treatment Centre), I heard the air conditioner, although I knew it was on when I came because it was lovely and cool, it wasn't till I heard it, that it confirmed it.mI forgot it makes a noise. And when I got home I noticed a difference too. I had to turn the volume down on the tv from how I had it before. smile.gif

So I say all good so far, even though I still feel upset about my hearing loss.

At least the new one is better than the other one.

I have known some people who begin to lose hearing, only to have it return a few years later. So here's hoping, but not too much.

I won't be hoping. sad.gif But it be nice if it did come back.

I'm going to have to go back again when I have an appointment. I've emailed them so they get it tomorrow, because loop is not on programme 2 as he said he had. It's same as 1 but just a little louder. So I'm taking my ipod with me on next visit to make sure, if I have same one as last time, that it's on. Until then I cannot use my mobile phone to see if it would be better using my loop when making calls, than before, as I started struggling about a month and a half ago. I can't hear the other way.

With these new hearing aids otherwise for everyday situation, I could hear the air conditioning system. I forgot what that sounded like. Not heard it for along time.

Fans on the ward where I first go and clean. I could hear them, while standing next to them. Couldn't before. One of them don't sound good. lol

My tv when I got home, I had to turn it down from 30 to 22.

So all good so far. smile.gif

That's quite a difference.  Nice one.
Bet your neighbours will be pleased!  lmfao.gif

Ha ha. Every tv is different. My old one which I gave Richard because I did not like the sound quality, the numbers would have been higher. So with that tv, which would agree on sound quality crap.

But this tv... the one I've turned down is a better one. But for that difference turning it down. I was very surprised but how much it has improved things................... and for the neighbours lol
