I think England have a good chance if last weeks game is anthing to go by. I think we have the strongest team now, since the last world cup. I think the games we will struggle in are France and Ireland.
coolfox
Im an Irish man, and its good to hear that we may pose a threat to the English!!! :P

Problem is, we played Italy, and won, but we had a struggle through the first half of the game, and we managed to pull away in the second half, which was a relief!!

I sure hope that Ireland dont continue playing like that, and that they improve beyond the level they played at against Italy.

COME ON IRELAND!!! :box: clap.gif

I think Ireland should fare well if O'driscal gets the fire back into his heart. When he's on form he is one of the best outside centres around. He is quite welcome to come and join Leicester Tigers next season. But then again maybe not if the roumer that Umanger may come to Leicester is true. biggrin.gif

I still reckon France v England is likely to decide the Six Nations.

France underestimated Scotland and won't make the same mistake again.
coolfox
Yeah, like Ireland underestimated France!!

I wasnt expecting Ireland to win, but I was at least expecting them to give France a challange, but what do I see......

France pretty much thrashed Ireland!!!

england have never been at their best since they won the grand slam in 2003, after that our form went downhill .. dinnae think we were at our best in the 2003 world cup and NOR do i still think we are back to our best but better than the past 2yrs yes .. our backs is real poor and yes i was shocked to see france defeat (they played their "2nd team", tried to copy the all blacks fielding 3 diffy teams against ire, wal, and eng) but glad to see them lose to give england a upper hand in the tournament ...

look at how we preformed against the italians, it was a *yaaawn* match, who r we !? .. that says the rest !!!

the team i rate highly is the welsh team coz they dont have their full team and yet they pose a huge threat to england, was in twickenham with my welsh chick one of my proud day lol (where as we never had with an under strength squad) and they whupped the scots ... their style of play is wot i want england to play, mouth watering attractive and creative ... so basically i think this year's 6 nations is all about preparing a team for the world cup next year ..

my money will b on nz, sa, wales or france for the world cup 2007 !!

Steady on, before you know it you will be eating leaks and supporting Cardiff City biggrin.gif
Wales had a fantastic game last week. It will be interesting to see how they fare against France. Dont think Henson will play, he should of had the full 9 weeks ban for what he did, plus he p***ed most of the Welsh team off, when he slagged them off in his book.
I agree with jkdd77 England v France will produce the winner of the six nations. As for the world cup don't think anyone will touch NZ. Especially if they use thier own officails, there was some well dirty rugby played in the Lions tour.

now i've put my doubt on wales to do well since their back room staff will resign after the 6nations ... wouldnt b surprise to see many heart broken welsh fans !!
lets hope ruddock b our new english manager or Bath lol .. yes in my dreams ..

spot on i support cardiff city as a welsh club and bath as a english club ... saw cardiff played perpignan and manage to grab a decent hand shake from lomu in the end of the match !!
drodz
Bath supporter hey, i'm a Tigers supporter. Can i just appologise in advance for knocking you out of the hieniken cup quater final:P
i am really looking forward to that match, hopefully going to get tickets, should have a chance now that they have changed venue to walkers stadium biggrin.gif
Shaking hands with Lomu "what a claim to fame" supprised you still have fingers left biggrin.gif . Think he has done a good job with the blues since hes been there, hopefully more to come from him.
spursgizmo
heh lomu isnt as big as u think ... must b he lost quite abit of weight down to kidney illness and other injuries.

yeh also got the tickets for the powergen cup semis' ... i support wasps as well all cos it's my local team, live in wycombe and been watching them a quite a lot (well saw a few of their matches this season against blues, scarletts) since my dad is a season ticket holder (they play in the cause way stadium, sharing the ground with wycombe wanderers incase ye wonder) .. saw the wasps vs tigers game last season in the heiken cup and thawt it was an amazing match to watch, was infact the biggest club to club match in the history of club rugby ...

so will b supporty wasps against tigers then bath against the scarletts in the powergen cup at the millennium stadium with my lovely other half ..

hey mind u .. our (bath) new coach whom joined us from the england youth academy is a great coach ... so u should b waring of bath altho i still do expect a heavy defeat in the quarter finals against ur ugly team heh ...

yeh good luck with trying to get a ticket for the quarter finals .. shouldnt b a plm since the walkers stadium capacity is 35,000 and am in fact not surprise that welford road is packed with season ticket holders leaving a few hundreds for the outsiders to get tickets .. i saw somewhere in the bbc site the welford road capacity is somewhere 17,000 and there are around 16,500 season ticket holder .. the european cup regulation stated that there should b at least 35% (i think) spare seats for the away fans since welford road cant meet the regulation, thats how they were forced to move to walkers stadium .. interesting fact .. also it's a good sign of rugby expanding fast .. hope we catch up with the melodramatic sport (football) whose has an undeservedly huge number fan base (!) heh heh

SORRY ?? can't hear nor read u say it ... care to sign "SORRY" drodz and say that bath is now a better team with Brian Ashton as our head coach (!)

call kleenex to sponsor u ... lol

WA-HEEEY !! 15-12 15-12 15-12 .. TIGERS wont get ANY silverware this season !! wot a pleasurable feeling that is !!
drodz
Spurs I will let you have that one. I do feel we were robbed though, we should of had a penalty try at least and the ref stiched us up when he sent both of your props off so we could not contest in the scrum. I think bath should be sponserd by sleepease next season for the amount of time your props spend lying on the ground lmfao.gif

Anyways i'm a pround man so SORRY for doupting your lovly BATH pitty we can't play you in the playoffs but you are too far behind to have a chance :P

While we are on the subject of silverware bad look you had in the FA cup this year. I also support Leicester city, so lets call it one each biggrin.gif

I didn't realise before what a good game Rugby Union is to watch- I went to see Nottingham RFC play Harlequins in the Powergen Trophy semi-final and I really enjoyed it, even though Nottingham (my local side at uni) lost.

Harlequins looked like a good Premiership-standard side, with Greenwood, Vos, and others, and they absolutely took Nottingham's lineout apart. It's no wonder they've been promoted back to the Premiership already (and won the Powergen Trophy).

There was lots of drinking, but no crowd trouble, and the supporters from both sides mingled freely in a friendly manner, unlike in football where they are strictly segregated and there is often a threat of violence.

I think I'll go and watch more live rugby union in the future. smile.gif
