Do anyone know if any of DVDs is funded by lottery grant.

I notice "Grizzly Man" (2005) DVD state no English subtitle and I hope this is not true as cheeky if funded by lottery grant.

Anyone got Grizzly Man DVD to confirm?

Cheers

Grizzly Man is distributed by Revolver Entertainment. I had not been in touch with them before so I took the opportunity to contact them.

Unfortunately Grizzly Man is NOT subtitled.

I spoke to the Manager at Revolver Group. Revolver are a reseller company - they don't own the rights to any of the titles they distribute, so they can only use the materials given to them by the original studio. If these materials don't include a subtitles file, then they cannot add the subtitles (they are not allowed to add their own, as they don't own the rights).

They have promised to get back to me with a contact or an explanation from the original studio who produced "Grizzly Man".

This is a typical situation for many smaller DVD distributors - since they don't own the rights to the film & materials, all they can do is produce the DVD and sell it - they cannot add any extra materials (subtitles, extras, sound etc).

I will try and target the original producers of the DVD materials for an explanation.
